Description

What was Cimicifuga is now called Actaea, the botanists have their reasons why and we have to live with it. In a couple of years from now they will probably go back to the old name.
Never the less it is a great garden plant, good dark, nearly black foliage set off the long spikes of flowers in Autumn. Combine with Ferns, Tiarella, Brunnera, Persicaria amplexicaule and Astrantia.
Long white spires above dark purple foliage.
