syn. Symphyotrichum laeve Glow in the Dark. A fine species with tall dark stems which set off pale lilac-pink autumn flowers. The plant can spread strongly at the base to form large clumps and a mass of foliage. Best in sun and tolerant of all but the driest of soils.
