Description
Phyllostachys are attractive, tall, evergreen bamboos that make an architectural statement in the garden. Best grown as a single specimen in a large garden. In the right conditions it can spread, so limit the roots with a non-perishable barrier.
Phyllostachys aureosulcata f. aureocaulis (Yellow Grove Bamboo) is an evergreen bamboo with tall, upright, yellow canes and lovely lance-shaped, mid-green leaves. It makes an excellent backdrop for border planting, and is useful for screening and also happy in a large containers.
