Description
No herbaceous border should be without the tall upright stems and delicate foliage of Thalictrums with sprays of purple-blue, white or yellow flowers all through the summer. They are relatively easy to grow, may need some support. An early-flowering meadow rue with a stout upright habit on strong stems and fluffy creamy-white – sometimes pink – flowers in early summer. Can self-sow if happy and excellent for adding colour and height at intervals in a partially shaded border to carry spring into summer. Any fertile soil.
