WOODBROOK GOLF COURSE
A large prairie-style herbaceous planting which wraps itself around the front of the club linking the parking area to the main entrance of the clubhouse. This south-facing site is exposed to the sea and the predominantly westerly winds. Topsoil was blended thoroughly with the subsoil to encourage deep roots and reduce fertility. Our choice of plants has been adapted to suit the Irish climate. A repetitive planting scheme with year round interest was implemented to create a flowing affect. One year after planting most gaps were filled and maintenance was reduced to a minimum.
