Description
Monkshood are superb garden perennials, easy to grow and reliable. Spikes of showy flowers develop above the attractive fine cut foliage which will naturally begin to wither as the flowers open. Every part of the plant is poisonous and you should wash your hands after handling it, but never the less it has always been in our cottage gardens and always will be.
Aconitum seoulense is a wild form which is taller and the flowers are arranged more loosely.
