Description

Switch grass, a prairie grass from North America, is a typical “warm season grass”. It starts to grow when the soil warms up and flowers from mid summer. Stiff upright growth habit, usually very good autumn colours and a fine delicate cloud-like inflorescence.
We consider Squaw as one of the best growing ones in Irleand. Upright clump forming grass, red-flushed leaves turning wine-red-purple in autumn.
