Phlox is one of those essential border plants for colour splashes in mid and late Summer, they are easy to grow on rich water retentive soil. Every few years lift and divide. Many varieties can tolerate some shade.
Upright heads of fragrant white-pink flowers in summer. Fertile, moist soil with good sunshine for best results.
