Description
Sanguisorba are perennials with attractive, pinnate leaves and branched stems bearing terminal spikes of small fluffy bottlebrush-like flowers. Good in flower borders with ornamental grasses or in a prairie planting. Happiest in a sunny border where the soil stays moist.
S. Arnhem produces a mass of small red heads, which glow in a sunny border before maturing to near-black in autumn.
