Paeonia lutea var. ludlowii

Description

The wild tree peony will grow to a large shrub with tall woody stems bearing attractive large leaves. Paony flowers appear in May and can continue sporadically for a good while on. The seed capsules resemble a jesters hat. Otherwise easy to grow in any general garden soil.
